He can't send it out until next Monday. Wait's gonna kill me.

There's so much gain, it's ridiculous. The only thing I engaged on those dip switches is the Mid.

Yeah, that's one loud 60 watt amp. guidedbyechoes said that engaging the Comp switch helps keep the volume down. I didn't need to, it sounds amazing as is.

Getting those caps replaced will last you for another 20+ years. Seriously, these older Peavey amps will outlive us all.

I have the Pre at 4 and the Post at 7. I had an Ampeg slant cab with 75's on this vid.

Sounds great brolando! How loud was that in the room? 7 on mine had my ears ringing for hours.

I had it slanted, and I was between the slant so I don't get that volume in my face. Plus it would make me pee if I had it at that volume facing me.

Post at 7? Holy f**king loud! :thu: :rawk:

I have had the 60 and the 120 at different time periods and I was not aware how to use it when I owned them. I used dirt pedals instead of onboard amp gain  :cop:
They are killer amps.

That's a good price. I wouldn't pay more than $300 because if you're patient you can always find someone selling it for dirt cheap.

You also don't want to pay too much and have to replace the tubes.

When my parents were gone I'd sneak upstairs with my Turbodrive and slap it on dad's old custom tube stereo he had made for him in the seventies with the weighted speakers. THat was PURE \m/.

You had no idea how many times I asked my cousin to fix the tweeter I keep blowing up on my dad's system.
