What is a doctor going to do for me if it is COVID  Only thing it will be is I'll know I have it. Can't collect free pay because I'm retired :D

Had covid test #4 on Wednesday and once again tested negative. So far so good, but this winter is gonna be brootza.

Best wishes to all of you who have been infected.

My whole family has tested positive for COVID and not one of them was even that sick? My oldest daughter said most of her friends are positive and feel fine. WHAT THE FUCK gives

80% who get covid will not need a doctor. Sounds like you, your family and your daughter's friends are in the 80%.

In my little part of the world the shit is hitting the tit. My coworkers and the people we take care of are testing positive in droves and we are having staffing shortages to put it mildly.

Effective today those of us who have not tested positive are being paid double time with OT at double time and a half.

There's no lockdown in place, yet very few vehicles are on the streets. I stopped by my usual grocery store around 8:30 which is usually super busy on Sunday mornings, but including myself I counted three customers in the entire building.

Fairly certain I had a false positive. Went for another test this past Friday and told them I had a positive rapid and negative PCR. The nurse kind of rolled her eyes and smiled. "Yeah...that can happen."

The wife of a guy at work I was talking to (I was wearing a mask, he wasn't) later tested positive, 4 or 5 days later I developed the same symptoms as I had the 1st time (I hadn't fully recovered from the 1st one, still had a mild headache and mild fatigue after six months).

I did a test this time but tested negative. Its possible I didnt do the test correctly, also apparently it's only 70% accurate idk, but I passed it to my Mrs who has been shielding, fortunately she only had very mild symptoms for a couple of days, and it's also been pretty mild for me compared to last time, went through several symptoms quite quickly over a few days, just left with headache/dizziness and fatigue at the moment.

I've got an antibody test to do next week, hopefully it will at least prove that, despite the negative test result, I'm not bullshitting.

The antibody test came back negative, :idk: :idk: :idk:

But you had positive tests months ago?? Is your immune system compromised?

I have heard of multiple and new strains - maybe they are testing for something different than what you had??

Odd stuff - to say the least - I don't like the sounds of it at all.

No mate, i couldn't get tested first time around, just over 6 months ago. I can only guess that it's a reoccurrence of the 1st episode, i.e. similar symptoms as before but milder, long covid? Its weird, still got the headache and sleepyness.

The point was that there are many other sicknesses that you exist that are not Covid related.... worthwhile to have a doctor tell you exactly what the problem is so you can take care of it, or in the case of Covid, just wait it out..........

just sayin............

Y’all mothafuckas taking vitamin D yet? I’ve been telling.

You’re 8 times more likely to catch COVID if you’re low on the D.

Also that’s what she said.

Thank the lord for Urban Dictionary...

In British slang, "minky" can be used to describe a woman's desirable sex or her genitalia directly ("mink" or "minky"), and can sometimes also be found used in combination with "cheeky monkey". Also related is "minger" used to describe an undesirable and unseemly woman or her sex directly.

Funeral yesterday for my GF's aunt. Diagnosed with COVID on a Thursday, died the following Tuesday. Perfect candidate for infection; elderly and in a long-term care facility for Alzheimer's. A caregiver was diagnosed and the contact tracing follow-up paints a clear picture of the spread through the facility.

Given current trends, its going to be a long, pandemic winter. Hunker down...

We’ve had a bunch of people at work get it. Talking 20-30+ people. Only one hospitalized. Rest were very mild.

Weird virus.

Fairly certain I had it in February. Trouble breathing while trying to sleep. Body aches, headache, etc.

Quick update on the new zinc supplement I bought, we got them in yesterday and we took them today. So far, neither my wife or I have feelings of nausea from it. So in case if anyone is interested, these are very gentle.

But like Billy mentioned, please work with your doctor if you think you're sick and whatnot. I just wanted to provide a heads up for those wanting to stave off any sickness.

I suspect that I got Covid on Thursday, Nov. 19 as I was in close quarters with someone who tested positive basically the following monday, and I had some symptoms from Friday into Monday. (Mostly just a sore throat).

I was not made aware of this person's positive test until yesterday, even though my manager at work likely knew that info earlier than that.

They also had crossed the border (from the US into Canada) at that time, were in Canada for approx. 24 hours and back into the US. Shady decisions by management.

I'm right there with you

Isolating in your own home and no sense of taste is really the weirdest thing ever. It's a tough one and I feel for everyone who's had it. Mojo sent, Indy. :(
