Do you Remember fiesta coins from McDonald’s?

Post by BroSlinger »

Back in 1988 or so, your happy meal toy was actual foreign currency from Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, etc.

I got a bunch of it. Probably not worth much.

I remember those. Checked eBay, yeah not worth much.

Cleaning out one of my garages the other day, found a mint Princess Di beanie baby. It’s worth like $5k lol

Shit wigged me out.

I do not. Though even as a child I hated McDonald's food besides their fries so I had probably only been there 2-3 times total before I became a teenager

Got pics>?

What a strange toy lol

There's no way in hell I would have thrown it away. It's probably in my Dad's attic. I will definitely find time to look for it. I'll probably wait until the weather cools down a bit.

Nothing says "first-world country" like giving away third-world currency in a child's meal :D

I wonder if this was a regional thing, I dont recall this at all! Then again, maybe I'd outgrown happy meals by the time these were issued. My oldest memory of happy meals was that rather than your meal coming in a cardboard box, it used to come in a plastic vehicle, like a boat or a car. You could fit hella Star Wars guys in them.
