Do you Remember fiesta coins from McDonald’s?
Back in 1988 or so, your happy meal toy was actual foreign currency from Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, etc.
I got a bunch of it. Probably not worth much.

as in actual currency??...because if that's the case the Venezuelan currency would be worth less than nothing. lol

I'm old enough that I was eating adult burgers in 1988

I Love the smell of nitrocellulose in the morning.

I do not. Though even as a child I hated McDonald's food besides their fries so I had probably only been there 2-3 times total before I became a teenager

There's no way in hell I would have thrown it away. It's probably in my Dad's attic. I will definitely find time to look for it. I'll probably wait until the weather cools down a bit.

Nothing says "first-world country" like giving away third-world currency in a child's meal

Re: Do you Remember fiesta coins from McDonald’s?
I wonder if this was a regional thing, I dont recall this at all! Then again, maybe I'd outgrown happy meals by the time these were issued. My oldest memory of happy meals was that rather than your meal coming in a cardboard box, it used to come in a plastic vehicle, like a boat or a car. You could fit hella Star Wars guys in them.

Woah I missed this comment the first time around; that's fucking epic as fuck!!

Also, I find it hilarious that they even made a Princess Di Beanie Baby
