I've had a 50 inch Sony TV sitting on a FedX truck for the last two days in this fidget weather. Wonder if it will be any good. Condensation worries me. Probably leave it in the gargage for the night, its around 35 deg and then move it into the house for a day before taking it out

It's going to be 74° today. I left my hoodie at home. I hope I don't get chilly.

If this week wasn't representative of winter in Indiana, I don't know what is. The week started off normal (gray, cold, depressing...) and then the temps plummeted. We spent 36 hours at or below zero (sometimes way below zero...) mid-week, but it "warmed up" to the teens yesterday afternoon. Just in time to dump 5 inches of snow. It was still coming down on my way in to work this morning. It's supposed to get to about 32 later today, and then into the 40's Saturday and 50's Sunday, so it will be a sloppy mess. I'll take it - beats the shit out of that sub-zero nonsense...

that was crazy getting that mass emergency text telling us to turn our thermostats down. big fire at a natural gas compressor plant. makes you think about what would happen if all of sudden you lost heat.

made it through just fine, now 1 degree feels like a heat wave!!!

Exactly, except I HATE winter. I hate it more each year. I'm not even sure it's possible to hate it more than I already do, but I'll find a way...

For whatever reason, the depression level has ratcheted up a few notches this year. Cold, gray, snowy. Christ. Saps any motivation I might otherwise have had. Ugh....

Everyone here is chemically unbalanced from a steady diet of cheetohs.

That's why I get so unhinged at the drop of a hat.

It's 14 degrees here right now. I actually like it and missed the winter after living on the West Coast for all these years.
But then again, I work from home so I do not have to leave the house if I don't want to.

I know - I live in the Twin Cities, and we don’t have that kind of snow. I like to cross-country ski, dammit; I want snow.

mixed emotions. on one hand, it looks beautiful. on the other, it looks like a future muddy mess.

Still terrible here. I had to salt the sidewalks and porch again. 50 mph wind. around 15F this morning. all the melt and rain we've had froze up.

one big ice sheet.
