Jimmy is certainly clever but, he doesn't seem to be smart enough to keep himself out of trouble.... reminds me of me.
It's like, he sees the road but, not the curve ahead.
Jimmy turned down a fantastic future, as a partner, at Davis & Main, HHM's competitor, during the episodes with class action suit against the old folk's home.
A smart person would have stayed on, made connections and then started their own firm.
Jimmy wants it all now but at the same time, he is unable to see the futility in trying to make too much out of yourself, too soon.
So, my vote goes for, not so smart.
