Logic X
Re: dumb Apple vst question
I'm not a Mac guy but I'm pretty sure Logic doesn't support VSTs. You need a VST to AU wrapper.
Re: dumb Apple vst question
Yup. No VST's for Apple. Must be AU/Audio Units. The Apple store has nothing to do with it. I have used free amp lug-in's in Pro X.

Because they make an AU version. You need to pick that when purchasing.

Did you buy the VST? If so you're kind of frakked as no one will let you return it.
Some good free ones are:

http://lepouplugins.blogspot.com (Look on the right side for the MacAU amp pack)

LOL! No worries.
Honestly it might be worth it to spend a few bucks on ReCabinet. It is half price today. Like $20 for good amp sims and AWESOME IR's
