If people bitch about it and preorders aren't what they've been expecting then hopefully they will. I shan't hold my breath though.

It authenticates once every 24 hours, requiring connection. You can't disable Kinect or block the sensor...or it stops operating. Those are some of the main complaints in that regard.

You have to remember your connectivity is not always under your control. I have experienced outages in both my internet services and in XBL services. Granted, anything over a day is extremely rare, but it can happen. With the xbox, once you reach that mark you're done playing games. It's not likely to affect most of us, honestly, but it CAN. Then you have folks that don't live in well-covered areas, and they are the ones most likely to REALLY get the shaft in the deal. Take my bro and sis in law as an example. They aren't gamers, mind you, but what if? They live in the sticks, they can't get DSL or cable. Their only option is satellite or wireless internet. Satellite is, last I checked a year or two ago, still measured in kbps and it costs 3x what I pay for 30 mbps. No way. They have a Verizon hotspot for internet, but have terrible reception where they live. So what happens to someone like them?

I'm having a hard time caring about those people not being able to play their videogames :o As for the Kinect thing someone said people were pissed about, evidently you can "pause" the damn thing. It'll have privacy settings you can adjust. People may be overreacting about being spied on. The Sony laptop I'm typing on right now has an "eye" and sophisticated microphone-array that's becoming common. I suppose I can become paranoid about being spied on by it if I took a lot of drugs.

Whether you care about them or not, they are still a target demographic of the Xbone...And they, and many like them, will not get an Xbone for that very reason, thus affecting sales.

that looked more like a blockbuster propaganda piece than an xbox article. which is of course ironic if ms wants to fuck people out of renting games.

I'd rather be dicked in the ass with DRM and have the CIA spy on me while they do it than have to use a PS pad

hahahahhahaa... I'm with you man... so far the Xbox shows the most potential despite having lower specs on paper... I see more expandability in the console than the PS4

I'm really not. They said its going to be used to pinch/zoom/swipe things. I hope it's not as stupid as I expect it to be.

It's part of the reason I'm still not 100% sold. That and I think the game lineup for X1 is stronger...at least upon launch.

The Last of Us comes out friday, and it's being universally heralded as one of the best exclusives of this generation.

Can't wait. :rawk:

I have been looking forward to this game since I heard about it a couple years ago.

I have loved all of the Uncharted games, and this is labeled even better than those. I'm so stoked, I won't be doing a whole lot this weekend

Whenever something is labeled as "best exclusive of the generation" - it kind of peaks my interest  But I wanted it before all that, so now it's just making the wait even harder.

It should be pretty freaking epic.

Its games like Last of Us that make me wish I had a PS3. I'd have to get an xbox style controller for it though as I hate the orientation of the analog sticks on the PS controller.

I have both systems, and I've never understood the hate for either controller. Switching between the two has never been a problem for me, and each one is comfortable :idk:

I grew up playing Playstation though, so I've always loved their layout, but the switch to SexBox didn't take any time at all...YMMV

I had an original PS back in the day. And I liked it then. It wasn't until I got used to the Xbox controller that when I went back to PS style it was very strange feeling. I could probably just adjust. :idk:
