Looks to me like there was plenty of convection long before the pulses he is referring to. Also, look at the placement of the storm. It's just sitting in and sucking up very warm, equatorial humidity off of the surface of the Pacific. It's basically like turning a herd of fatties loose on a perpetual cheese table.

Well to make it rain you only need to add nucleation particles to air that has sufficient moisture.

To create a hurricane you'd need to warm several cubic miles of sea water several degrees. That's bit more oomph we're talking about here. Why would anyone want to develop a technology like this anyway, hurricanes can only form on the equator region and would be very unpredictable in their behaviour. It would be like firing missiles blindly and hope most of them hit the enemy, not your own cities.

That storm was well into it's development before Para-Nerd points out signal blips on the screen. The only thing missing from it's convection was the eye of the storm. Now listen, I've installed all kinds of radars, gps, autopilots, depth-sounders, sonars, you fucking name it. Any piece of gear like that is subject to all kinds of noise, glitches and bullshit. So, Nerd-Pocolypse over analyzing signal noise in a satellite feed, or a blip in a radar field because a large bird flew right by the array, doesn't mean shit. Not to mention, there isn't enough man-made energy on the planet to power a small hurricane for 24hrs. Let alone feed a super-storm for a few days.

Have you ever watched a 12 or 24hr weather loop? You see those blips all the time.
