Guns n' Roses lost the "guns" founder before they even got famous.

I guess it's Ozzy that got fired - I think Bill Ward had been at one point or another, but my old brain isn't quite sure... :)

I think Tony Iommi is the only one to NOT get fired from Sabbath. I know he's the only one to be on all their recordings.

The lead singer of Days of the New fired all the talent from the band and went on to suck cock for quarters in back alleys.

Or something.

I know he fired the whole band like his hilarious vocal style was the reason for the band's success.

Didn't the stones ax their piano player because the label didn't think he fit the rock and roll profile they were after?

Yeah, that was Ian Stewart. The Stones fired Brian Jones, who was their original band leader. That would be a pisser, wouldn't it? You start a band and the other guys decide to fire you.

I remember watching one of the dozens of Stones documentaries and Keith was asked how they went about firing Brian. "We just told him, Hey Cock, you're fired." Cold blooded.

Hey, he couldn't hang with the heroin like they could. If he could've hung with them, he wouldn't have gotten the axe. :cop:

Oh man, Travis Meeks. I remember reading some interviews with him where he came off sooooooo full of himself. I credit them with being probably the first of the 90s bands to make a (short-lived) career off of robbing Alice in Chains dry. Not the last by a long shot, but probably the first.

Yeah, isn't Steve Harris the only true original member that was left even by the time of the first album?

Yeah. It was all down to a singer they used to have that had a reputation for tearing apart every band he was in. He kept firing people in the band until there was only him and Steve left, then eventually left himself. Dave Murray was fired because this singer didn't like Dave's girlfriend.
