Will drive by my office soon. Press is outside and shit. I am just hoping I can leave before it happens because traffic will be shittier than usual (and it's usually pretty shitty as is).

If you don't make it out before, it would be cool to see him in person.

I like Obama so STFU!

Of course, I despised pretty much everything about Jr.'s presidency but still thought it was pretty cool to see him up close at a campaign rally. :hi5:

In some ways, yes. However, I will take Clinton and Kerry over the complete waste of time that Rice turned out to be.

But that's beside the point: as much as I like Obama, I was pretty pissed off when his visit to Bill Gates' house fucked up my commute a few years ago!

I blame Obamacare.

Just found out he's at the Hilton right next door to my office. I can see the hotel from my window. Traffic is a mess again.

Clinton used to stay on our base all the time. I'd bump into Chelsea and her detail every so often. Should have worked that angle a bit harder. She's smart and didn't turn out nearly as homely as we all thought she would. Could have been riding high on the hog now lol...

Dubya came here to do speech last year and they pretty much closed off 3 blocks around the conference centre. Snipers on the roof of the hotel and across the street, the whole nine yards. I could see the whole setup from my office window but didn't get to see the man himself.

There were still a bunch of cunty people at the checkpoints protesting something or other. Talk about a waste of time :wank:

that's funny.

P.S. if you're not at least disappointed in Obama then you're not really paying attention. I was a supporter in the first election and voted for him again in the second election more because I didn't see how things would improve under Romney. But like The Who said, "Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss."

My office is in Woodland Hills, which is where he went after Leno. A couple of people who worked late yesterday got stuck in ridiculous traffic. It took one an hour to get on the freeway, and it usually takes only a couple of minutes driving to do that.

I'm really not sure why he made the decision to stay overnight out there; the hotels are mediocre at best, and it makes no sense whatsoever if he headed back into town the next morning...unless he wanted to maximize the disruption the POTUS caravan made in LA.

Yes, that's where I am at (Victory and Canoga), my office is the building right next to the Hilton W. Hills. And why I wanted to GTFO as soon as possible on Tuesday.

Most likely a security concern. I'm fairly certain the decision makers in order, as far as where the president gets to stay/go is:

1. Secret Service
2. Obama

I'll bet it has a lot to do with how many occupied rooms/windows have less than desirable shooting lanes from other roof tops and the ease of getting and getting the f out in a hurry just in case.

I thought you were over in Burbank near the NBC studios. We should have lunch one day; I'm at DeSoto and Burbank Blvd.

One guy at work, who tends to start and work late, took some time to go get his hair cut at some place over by Victory and Topanga. No problem getting there around 4:30, an hour to return after he was done.
