The secret is the strangle switch. (like a jaguar). I leave it on most of the time.

The other secret is the standard ash tray bridge with threaded steel saddles. Every bit fancier you get, the less like a tele it sounds.

The 3rd secret is the Wenge fingerboard. No wood sounds better than wenge.

yeah, the iphone was right by the pedal. The left switch is always the tap tempo for whatever secondary function is part of the reverb. In this case, it's a reverb/trem mix. and also, the hold switch for the ambient pads.

This pedal does some really cool stuff.

Oh yeah and that Firebird Tele is badass. MJT didn't do the raised center on mine when they made it so I gotta build a second but this one will have the raised (Firebird) center.

FWIW, the Collider is only doing very rudimentary delay here.

The Empress Reverb is doing all of the extreme heavy lifting. It has a great pristine delay/reverb algo with tap tempo. A great lofi reverb. A great trem/reverb with tap tempo. A great swell mode. etc. It does extreme tones VERY well in a very intuitive way. FWIW, I'm not completely wild about the "conventional" reverb sounds. The Collider does a better job for that stuff, plus great delay.

The Telebird just rocks. It's becoming my favorite guitar ATM.


(BTW, the Collider is SUCH a great pedal. I needed something that would do tap tempo, oil can delay, pristine digital delay, plate reverb, and spring reverb, and also have presets. It does all that and more. Plus, Source Audio does "always on" reverb algos better than anybody)
