A friend of mine sent me parts for a Micro-Bassman a la Rob Robinette and giving me gear to build it and paint it PANK for him, Itchy recommended me to a guy that wants a Princeton Reverb chassis and that's all getting ordered tonight, and I'm gutting a Bogen CHB50 and building out a 1987 lead plexi into the chassis and painting it PANK for another friend.
Now that ClassicTone is gone, what transformers should I get for the plexi?

Did it have the headshell too? A friend of mine in Houston bought this new or close to new from a Houston shop n the 70's that built shells for them with handles. The sticker is still there for Allen Electronic Products.
For the Plexi? I like Heyboer. George Metropoulos uses them in all his builds. Bruce Egnater likes em for his seminar amps too.

no head shell, it was just kind of a metal box from what i remember, the cabs were these 6x8" columns. i remember the distinct smell that would fill up the house when i turned it on.
Oh hell yeah… love that micro bassman (and the other micro- circuit stuff) that Robinette has put out there. Leaned a lot from that. Can’t wait to see the progress, mort!
