It's well deserved. He's been the main guy behind the brand rescue and he's done a great job at it.

He was one of the guys behind Gibson approaching Mesa, so maybe some good ideas from him.

People that have used Gibbys historically are definitely prone to being currently anti-Gibson. And I get it? My Boogie experience has been overall great post Gibson acquisition so I dig it. Other than the price tags they are putting on things

I don't think they're prices are out of line at all. The Collector series, yes but those are luxury/collector items. Not really meant for players, it's an entirely different target demographic.

But as far as the US production line, you can buy a Les Paul Classic for $2400, which is not bad for an US made, setneck instrument. The Standard is 2900, not too bad either. It's not "cheap" but when compared with other US manufacturers that make setneck guitars, it's in the right ballpark.

The Custom Shop stuff is priced between $4k-10k and again, look at what ESP USA, Jackson, Fender Custom Shop, Knaggs, PRS Private stock etc charges for setneck guitars. It's in the ballpark.

The fact is, it's expensive to make guitars in the US these days. But I am still happy to support US companies, even at a premium. You also get a product that's good for a lifetime. Worth it.

I should be specific in that it's the Mesa Boogie prices I am talking about

I don't think they're too bad either. Mesa was never cheap. And compared to other US high-gain amps (Friedman, Bogner etc) they're in the ballpark :idk:

In Europe the Mesa prices dropped significantly after changes in the distribution network and I think the pricing is pretty attractive these days. Too bad they do not serve the European market until the end of the year.

With those blocks and that headstock, isn't that an ES-355?

Looking forward to the Cesar Milan era of Gibson. :thu:
