The "One or the Other" Thread

I know: music isn't a contest, but let's cut heads. Pick one or the other. No explanation or justification. Reply to the "battles" in the OP, the previous post or anything in-between. Quote the battle, pick a winner and then propose a new battle. Stay on point :cop:. Should be interesting...

Gilbert vs. Vai - Gilbert
John Bonham vs. Neil Peart - Peart
Eric Martin vs. Chris Cornell - Cornell
Hagar vs. Roth - Hagar

Pretty sure I just alienated some people :lol:

Mick Mars vs Doug Aldrich - Mars. I don't think I have ever given Doug Aldrich a second thought ever. I always thought he was a great guitarist who always ends up being a fill in for the fill in of the fill in

Stones vs Beatles---Stones all day long
Halford vs Dio --- Halford. Dio is great in Sabbath but his solo stuff has not stood the test of time at all imo
Wu Tang vs NWA --- Tough one. NWA is what I would consider a much leaner, more efficient supergroup. But they both kill.
Taking forever to write a thoughtful post vs just spitting whatever out in a fugue like state --- Spitting whatever out wins every time. Gut reaction is always best. Even though I just did the exact opposite in writing this reply :mad:
