We're almost $3.50/gallon in South Florida. I recently put 10-ply All-terrain LT 35s on my F-150 and went from 16 to 14mpg. I thought the AT tires would look cooler. If I had to do it again, I would have gotten 33 or 34" HT tires. At least I have a 36 gallon tank, so I fill up when I drive by a station with low prices or when I see that prices are heading up. My warranty is up in a few months and I think I'm going to do two tunes, an 87 octance mpg tune and a 93 octane performance tune. Maybe an E85 tune too, but I'm worried about engine damage from ethanol.

between 3.30-3.50 per gallon here. premium is over 4 which the 17mpg acura takes. prius averages 40mpg so that helps

Haha I know that life except I thankfully went with C load 35" BFG ATs instead of the heavier E load. Mileage dropped from 18-20mpg down to 15-16 and I wish I had a 36 gallon tank to match.

What tires did you go with? I recall you have a pretty dope F150.

I went with Continental TerrainContact A/T tires. I picked up a lot of nails with the stock Michelins. Thanks Dave, I love my truck. I did a 6000 mile road trip with it in August. I'm going to keep it for about 2 more years and then switch to an electric vehicle.

Nice choice on tires. I've had really good experience with Continentals in the past.

Oof, my local Costco is $2.89 :D

I can't imagine saying "i'm sure glad we bought a hybrid" with a straight face.

Imagine feeling happy about saving a few bucks on gas while ignoring the environmental and human rights devastation caused by child slave labor strip mining lithium in third world countries. All to build disposable low energy garbage heaps that end up in land fills when the complex battery packs die.

Imagine needing an extra $100 a month so bad it's worth overlooking all of the hidden negatives plus actually having to get behind the wheel of a hybrid without sad crying.

Do you have the coyote or Ecoboost?

We have the Ecoboost in our Expedition, and I love it, but I'm also curious about a tune when the warranty is up.

3.5 Ecoboost w/ 10-spd and 3.55. I'm definitely getting the SCT Livewire TS+. I have been looking at tunes from a few different companies 5*, MPT and Unleashed. 5* has better dyno numbers, but guys say the other two drive better behind the wheel.

Nice, that's our drivetrain too. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on it.

Warranty is up in the middle of February. AFE CAI and tune will go on the next day.

Bruh my career is centered around domesticating a supply chain of Lithium (and REEs). I’m all about that shit. Move over oil barrons, it’s the age of the lithium Barron  :cop:

Also the majority of the word supply of Li comes from South America where child labor isn’t so much of a problem. Cobalt and certain other battery metals are exploiting African children tho

And I love both my Prius and my gas hog :cop:

True, in South America they're just destroying the environment. You're right that Cobalt mining in Africa is the child labor issue.

All to build disposable garbage heaps that end up in landfills. I guess as long as the impact isn't in our faces it must be okay. Just continue treating South America, Africa, China, etc as penalty free waste lands to produce feel good products.

Meanwhile I'll gladly pay $10+ a gallon to drive my antiquated ICE powered vehicles.
