Glad things are looking up. It will feel even better when it's actually over.
Well, I stuck it out for a LOT of years, hoping that my kids would have a better childhood with me there, rather than having to have the family torn apart at a young age. Took one for the team, y'know?
It's already worth it. My relationship with my boys is at an all-time high right now, and she keeps doing everything she can to wind up in that van down by the river.

but you are saying she would have been MUCH better off taking your offer than what she will end up with going through court?!?
I hope you are not underestimating her chances or attorney. You never know what can happen - things could go south quick.
anyway - hoping it comes out just like you are saying!!
Yes - she ABSOLUTELY would have been MUCH better off taking my offer. I haven't fully calculated everything out, but I'm sure I was looking at about 20% of everything versus her getting 80%. Even in the worst possible circumstance, they can't take EVERYTHING away from me (well, not legally), and can't force me to work to turn over all my paychecks to her. Fuck that. I'm in a pretty safe spot, and IDGAF. Danger combo, I am

Rumpleforeskin wrote:Damn dude, that's a hell of a story. I'm glad you're happy, but it sounds like a stressful situation.
SO much stress behind me. I'm working with exercise, eating better, acupuncture, and cannabis. I'm driven to be unrecognizable (mentally and physically) by the end of the year.

A buddy of mine who runs his own on site Bobcat mechanic service company is a single dad of 2 young kids with an ex that disappeared to do the same. He’s rockin’ it though. Handles his business on set hours so he can get to the daycare on time everyday with no help from anyone. Takes ‘em fishing on the weekends too. I don’t envy those situations but it’s also really awesome to see people succeed when things get tough.
Yer buddy is a stud. Good on him

My anniversary date entered old(er) age this past March. 30 years. Fucking hell, that's a big chunk of my life, especially considering how bad the last 10-15 have been.
