I had a good friend get killed on the 4th in Huntington county 
Morter exploded and it went through his stomach.
Need prayers and mojo for his family. I worked with his father for 38 years
Steven E. Sims, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, in the 900 block of West County Road 700-S in Salamonie Township.
Philip Zahm, Huntington County's chief deputy coroner, said Sims was struck — reportedly in or near the abdomen — by shrapnel from a mortar tube explosion about 12:20 a.m.
"An initial investigation into the incident determined the mortar shell exploded inside the tube, causing the pressure to breech the side of the tube, and striking the victim," Zahm wrote in a news release.
Efforts to resuscitate the Blackford County man were unsuccessful.
