Can you write sheet music from ear?

There's something I want to do for someone which is basically writing sheet music for a verse and chorus of a vocal melody. I don't know how to do that. I'll explain in PM to someone that can do it. Will gladly send some paypal for your time. Thanks in advance.

I can write sheet music. Not necessarily from ear but I can write my guitar parts, musical arrangements etc.

But what I'd suggest you do is learn to play the vocal melody on keyboard. Then play it into a MIDI instrument and load the midi part into any notation software.

Or record the part and post here and I'll notate it for you. No need to pay I can't imagine this taking me more than 5 minutes to do.

The dude that wrote, sang and played that is having a rough time with cancer. Just posted up a message saying I’ve had this song stuck in my head for a week with that score sheet posted on it. He’ll figure out it’s his song and hopefully get a chuckle out of it. Thanks!
