Matheus Canteri-WHOA.

Post by TurboPablo »

I saw this guy in Nashville in 2018 with his band The Royal Hounds. I knew immediately that he is a virtuoso. But holy flurking shnitt Kang, he just re-released his first album from ten years ago and it is completely insane. Even if country&rockabilly isn't your bag, it is worth checking out. He does some seriously mind hending stuff on a gee-tar.

Yes

I tried to take a lesson from him while I was down there but we couldn't connect. My best friends son is taking Zoom lessons with him and says it is awesome. I was watching him play all of this crazy honky tonk and swing and it was obvious that it was well beneath his skill level  But it is what he loves most.

Mindblendering stuff. I especially like it when he lays back on the chicken shred and you can really hear the depths of his composition and arrangement skills.
