Almost every show thats good eventually toilets I feel like.

Surprised GoT or Dexter not listed already.

Everyone should take a note from Breaking Bad and plan for the end early on and so as to not fucking blow it.
Then again, GoT...

Generally speaking TV is a waste of time.

Don't shit on my thread, dude. I had my anti-tv phase too. Not anymore.

Legit question, since I know you're a Dad as well; how do you unwind at the end of the day? I can't play guitar or drink, so I have to watch tv. :(

Can I answer, too? I usually sit in the kitchen (near enough to each child without being in any sort visual range) and drink whiskey while I read a book. I watch Netflix and Prime during the day while working but rarely in the evening.

Me four. I play a little guitar; make trumpet noises; do household stuff and hang with the wife and watch shows. Movies with the boys when there's something we want to watch. Watching sports is gross. I do love to read but have really found as I get older that my attention span can't really do long form reading

So one show I REALLY dug at first was Mr. Robot. Then either S2 or 3 happened and I was out for reasons I can't quite recall. Does it deserve to be revisited?

Glow

GoT was like watching a beautiful work of art slowly twist in on itself until it didn't even resemble a parody or farce.

Goldbergs - holy shit, just stahp! Adam clearly gave up on active participation 'cause it's turned into the same damn story every week.

Westworld - suffers from HBOitis.

We also need a "started shit and got shittier" TV thread. I have more than a few contenders for that one.

I don't know about a "new new" one.

They just started another one.

FWIW, I dug both versions of Battlestar Galactica I saw for different reasons. While the latter one definitely tapered a bit in the middle, I thought they managed to have a decent enough ending. :idk:

Season 3 of Orange is the New Black was awful. I almost gave up on it altogether after that, but I feel like it redeemed itself pretty well in season 4 onward
