Classic Ozzy 1983 live video

Post by GuitarBilly »

It's hard to find really pro quality recordings of that era but this one is a really good one:

Some things to point out:

1- This is pure classic Ozzy: Karen hair, fat and shirtless, out of key most of the time and not a single fuck is being given at any point of the concert.

2- Jake starts and ends the show with a single Hum Charvel. I had never seen him playing one. I see he's using 800s, PCM41s but I can't identify the other rack unit, maybe a Lee Jackson preamp?

3- Tommy Aldridge's drumming is just unreal. What a monster player.
Guitars:
'78 Les Paul Pro / '89 SG Special/ '04 Gibson Les Paul Classic 3 pickup / Jackson Star/ Endres Tele / Fernandes Rhoads/ ''74 Hohner MIJ strat/ 2 Partscasters

Amps:
Depends on when you ask. I got tired of constantly updating this section lol

Cabs
Marshall 1960A w V30s/ Seismic 2x12 w Redback and V30.

I definitely remember this. Couldn’t go to the us festival, but I did go see him shortly after. Long Beach arena with Ratt opening.

Ozzy went MIA before this (apparently grieving over Randy’s passing) and turned up with his hair cut off.
