I am still blown away by watching the land slide down the mountain just before the eruption.

Saw the aftermath from the air back in the early 2000s - looked like a nuke was detonated in the middle of a mountain

Yellowstone could be a giant nuke. It's at least a fun idea to play with.

And that brings me to my next thought....

Kind of a trip to think about how close Seattle came to being buried in ash. I was a little too young to remember the live event, but I backpacked in and camped out in the MSH crater back in 1997. Cool Story Bro.

I distinctly remember it happening, and a group of doofuses at school getting all excited thinking the Autobots were about to wake up.

It doesn't seem like it was that long ago. Damn I'm old.

Mount St Helens erupted in 1980 and the Transformers toy line came out 1984. Did these doofuses you speak of have a time machine

There's only one possible explanation.

Aliens. Time traveling aliens. From so far in the future they actually KNEW the Autobots.

Or would that be the past?

Dammit. This is all so confusing.

I remember those. That was back when Taco John's still made an incredible mexican pizza, and Taco Bell still made their burgers. Now you can only get the burgers at Taco John's and the mexican pizzas at Taco Bell.

What an odious mess the cheapo taco business is.
