this is what the kids nowadays call 'black metal' and it is very well done imo.

pro tip: listen from the start to the 13 min mark to gain full understanding of what the hell is going on here.

almost like a 'black metal tool album' of sorts - if that makes any sense.

Another band that brings me back lol

Hadn't heard this new stuff, I see what your saying about a tool influence lol. I Like those parts the best. I'm pretty bored of "tremelo picked dissonant melodies" at this point in time. Gimme some groove though...

That's some interesting picking patterns in those fist few minutes. Especially cool when they contrast between the guitars. Lots of movement and great groove.

Definitely dig it. Gonna have to check out more of this.
