Wow, I'm surprised that with his career and public profile he can't cough up $13k. Crazy.

Chris Hansen, best known as the host of the Dateline NBC segment “To Catch a Predator,” has been arrested after he allegedly bounced checks to a vendor for marketing and promotional items and failed to pay for them.

No shit. He must have made decent coin being on TV. I would think $13000 to him would be like $130 to me. If I owed someone $130 I could cover that no problem.

I'm pretty sure (based on nothing!) that he could cover $13,000 - for some reason (again - unknown) he didn't want to...........

I would think he has the money, unless he's living like a boxer. Rush Limbaugh and Donald Trump are much richer and they've refused to pay people for work done. Of course, they're both douchebags.

The article sounded like he didn't have it... asking for payment plan, saying he will sell a boat etc...
It would've been better for him to just refuse to pay and come up with a bullshit excuse like saying the product wasn't good enough etc... that would go to Small Claims. He would lose eventually, but no jail. Bouncing checks is when it becomes larceny...
It sounds like he's broke..

Maybe he should hold off on selling that boat. Unless it doesn't have a bed.
Maybe a dumb question. But, he has no income and he's spending his money renting an apartment at New York City? I bet he was leasing a BMW 7 Series and eating at Sparks or Peter Luger and washing it down with Opus One. Who is his financial advisor? Evander Holyfield?
