Anyone have experience with Music Go Round?
I'm thinking about buying a guitar online, from Music Go Round...
I swore I'd never buy another online guitar because, I'm worried about the neck having a ski jump around the 12 -15th fret, that the truss rod won't help.
Music Go Round's policy just says they want their clients to be happy but, it doesn't state their return policy... if they even have one.
1) Have any of you made any online purchases from them?
2) Have any of you tried to return something to them?

We had one in our town, for about two years. Fastest store to go out of business. They seemed kind of shady to me. Wouldn't hassle on prices at all.
Some guys like a challenge. Not me.

Re: Anyone have experience with Music Go Round?
yeah I've been buying from them since the 80's, they're one of the oldest stores still around, way before the internet. They're independently owned franchises so some locations won't haggle prices BUT they have a lot of stuff that is cheap to begin with. Never had an issue with them. Their return policy is must be sent back within 48 hours from the delivery date and you have to pay return shipping, so that's kinda tight, but as long as you do it within that window, they honor it just fine.
I bought mostly from their brick and mortar stores though, I don't remember buying anything online from them.
But at any rate, they're a reputable dealer and have been around for over 30 years.

1) Yes
2) No, but they have been around for a long time and would be easy to deal with in that regard I'd think.

I never have but I know my brother did a few purchases with them online. I have never heard anything bad that stands out about them.

Like Billy said, independently owned franchises. Had one local to me back in the late 90s and it went under about two years in.

I bought an amp from them online. No complaints.
Re: Anyone have experience with Music Go Round?
There's still one in NEPA. I went there often, but never bought anything from them. Too expensive. They actually sold used guitars for more than a new one at a dealer right down the street. Would never budge on prices either.
I'm glad you found something at a price you thought was fair.

Sounds like the people running each local branch is in charge of sinking their own ship or, staying afloat.

Right on. I'm hoping that the Albuquerque branch is as reliable... cause, I got an incoming bass!

I bought a Laney 4x12 cab from one in Wisconsin or something for way cheap. (blue tolex loaded with 30w greenbacks)
Guy was willing to haggle and only charged me 100 $ for shipping.
No problems dealing with them

Consider every location a different business. The only thing they really share is the name and the website.

It usually pays to call the shop directly rather than just ordering on the website

Thanks Gene. The Albuquerque store has good reviews on Yelp (for what ever that's worth). They seemed like good guys on the phone.... fingers crossed!

Thanks Yarbs.
I called before I purchased and spoke to two people who confirmed they have a 48 hour return policy. That works for me... I only need about 10 minutes to decide if I like it.
At this point, I'm feeling fairly comfortable with my purchase. Now it's up to the shipping company to get it hear in one piece!

There's a couple semi local. I would call around for used amps and cabs..
I'll start by imparting my effortless polarization by virtue of participation..
