One of my good friends lives there. I love it. It is indeed beautiful and the breweries in town are awesome.

Re: Longmont CO
My wife lived there for a bit, and I did a bike ride through there in June. It's a nice spot, at the base of the Rockies, some killer rock formations if you're into that sorta thing. Boulder, Golden, Ft Collins, and Denver just a short ride away so that also makes it a quick trip to major universities, hospitals, DIA, etc. Housing is relatively cheap. It's one of the places I'm considering moving to, depending how my current job search goes.

I'm right there with you Mike. I was talking with a headhunter in Denver last week and he said "yeah, people that move out from CA think the cost of living here is great".

Lived in Denver for years, spent a lot of time in Longmont for work.
Also Boulder, Golden/Evergreen and Co Springs are all awesome....
Take a trip south on 287 a ways and check out Wildwood Guitars, nice guys and they've got some serious shit in stock. It's maybe a 20 minute drive...
