caribbean rice with chick peas, red kidney beans and crushed pecans; an apple as well.

i cook a big batch of something like this every sunday and then freeze portions in individual containers. every morning on the way to work, all i have to do is take one out of the freezer and throw it into my lunchbox. when i get to work, i just set it out on my desk to thaw. i still eat some animal products but for lunch i usually do just plant-based and b/c of this i can set the food out on my desk to thaw and not worry about harmful bacteria, etc...

Thanks Dude ! Yeah it takes time but the pounds drop off . Add in some walking and mild workouts and watch it drop off . I was never really that heavy though but a few winters worth of winter weight added up . I could never drop anything until I started counting . You just don't need a big ass meal like we grew up with . It took me a long time to figure this out . :cop:

Nitrite-free ham, cheddar, butter lettuce and honey mustard wrap plus an apple and an orange with a sugar-free cherry kool aid. When I get home a brownie and a glass of apple juice. Yes, I eat like a 6th grader.

Roast pork farfalle
Grilled marinated chicken
roasted broccoli
minestrone soup
bowl of fruit - grapes, blueberries, mandarin oranges, raspberries, and strawberries

all small portions - but it is great having a subsidized cafeteria at work
(we pay $5 - company kicks in $5)
different menu everyday.

Tried a new Clam Chowder. Did not love - will not buy again. Progresso and Campbell's Home Style versions are much better.
