Road Rage is not worth it.

Post by BroSlinger »

So, one of my clients was cut off at a highway merging. He gave the guy the finger.

They both stopped, got out of the car, and now my client is dead. I think he was punched a number of times, and had a heart attack?? The killer is on the run, but they know who it is.

It's not fucking worth it. Suck it up and keep driving.

edit, what a piece of shit:

"He would later write on Facebook that he “taught a lesson” to another driver."

Why do think it's a heart attack? Was your client old, fat, and out of shape? (no personal disrepect intended)

Really sucks for the guy who won the fight too.

He'll get charged with manslaughter, go to the big house, and for what?????????

He was 60 and overweight. Probably didn't eat all that well.

Now, his wife is a widow, and some dumbass kid is going to prison for a long time.

That sucks.

There is a lot of rage out there.

I witnessed an accident the other day. Looked pretty violent and car was smashed up. I jumped out of the car to see if I could help. Young woman driver was shaken up but unhurt. Traffic had to filter through, literally less than five minutes after the crash. Assholes honking, screaming, yelling at cars behind them that can't even hear them. Their day delayed by 30 seconds, might miss a light cycle. Lunacy.

The articles say the guy is a cage fighter.
I just usually let shit go, even if someone blatantly cuts me off, I don't even honk. That seems to be an invitation for those fucknuts to try to escalate it to more.

Yup.

I dunno what it is about being inside a vehicle that turns some folks in to ultra-high-strung 10 foot tall
black-belts, but it's fucking weak.

This is a sad story indeed. Meauxjeaux sent, Gene :(

That's a shitty story, Gene. I'm sorry for the loss of your friend / client. Shit is reverting back to the old west, I swear.

I used to take everything so personally on the road when I was younger and a bit of a hothead myself. My new perspective has been that I expect everyone is an asshole and in their own world / on their phone. That guy that just cut me off would have cut off literally any car in my position. We're not racing, we're not even going to the same destination, so why should I take it as a personal affront? I don't any more, and its been quite nice.

When I'm on my bike, its a different story, my life is literally in everyone else's hands. Please don't cut me off so you can stop to turn right. Please don't drive drunk. Please don't text and drive. Please don't run red lights. Please don't run me off the road for fun.

Damn thats some scary shit. I had some highschool kid in a brand new Vette follow me after I went straight through an intersection and he was trying to take a left. He almost hit me and then proceeded to bust a U in the middle of the intersection and follow me.

At the next light he rolled down his window and started yelling at me. Then he threw an apple at my car. To my surprise it appears kids still take apples to school. :D

At this light I was taking a left, he was in the straight only lane. When the light turned green he cut in front of me and turned left, then pulled sideways in the road to block me.

This little twat jumps out of his car yelling at me to get out and fight him. He was a little motherfucker so for a second I thought about getting out of my Jeep and beating him to death. Instead I motioned to call the cops and he got scared and took off.

Honestly, I really wish I had gotten out and beaten him down. In that moment it would have been cathartic af. Probably would have felt remorse afterward though.

I try not to let myself behave in ways that I wouldn't behave when not encased in a tempered glass and steel protective machine. When we bump into people walking down the block on accident we don't flip the bird and curse them, at least not most of us. Some of y'all east coasters probably do though.

One thing's for sure, that neither of the people involved in this tragedy were stoned on pot. The world would have been a better place today if one or both of them were.

Stay peaceful my friends.
