Dead from a apparent accidental overdose of prescription drugs.

I used to listen to his wacky show all of the time. Most often it was ridiculous and filled with kooks and dumbasses just making shit up.
Sometimes, it was downright creepy.
RIP Art Bell.

Actually, he passed away in April. The toxicology report was released yesterday and it was the first I had seen about his death.

Re: RIP Art Bell.
I loved Coast to Coast AM. I never got to listen to Art Bell, but I listened to George Noory quite a bit from like 2009 to 2013 when I used to stay up later (wasn't married).
I really enjoyed the Project Pegasus discussions about the jump room to the secret Mars colony. I also enjoyed anything about the "shadow people" (gray figures) that appear from other dimensions. Dammit. I love that show. I used to have a C2C membership so I could listen during normal hours, but it wasn't the same as being alone at 2am listening.

The best of Art Bell is all over Youtube. Have a listen to his Are51 shows. They're classic. I listened to George Noory last night for the first time in a longtime. As always, it's still good for the imagination.

If anyone ever listened to Art, you'll know that there is a huge conspiracy theory behind his murder, er, I mean death.
Listened to Coast to Coast all through college when he hosted, it was epic and sorta scary at times. He was rumored to have stopped doing the show because he was giving away Illuminati secrets and they put a price on his head. Art is and will be missed.
