Re: Motorhead
I
Motorhead!!!!
Fast Eddie is one of my favorite guitarists. All his leads tell a story - they aren't just a series of licks thoughtlessly strung together in a meaningless way.
The lead in Stone Dead Forever is a great example... starts off slow, builds and resolves itself at the end.
Fast Eddie ROCKS!!!

Yup - he's a really great minimalist player, but definitely gets the point across. Love his stuff - I'm a fan of the early Fastway stuff, too

I always knew we would have to imagine a world without Motörhead, but not this soon. This reminds me that I need to pick up a new copy of Overkill, as mine skips.

Re: Motorhead
I don't know if Motörhead was the greatest rock and roll band of all time, but they were absolutely the purest, truest, and most honorable.
They never sold out. They never "evolved." They never chased trends; in fact, they barely even seemed to notice them. Even compared to the other two most primal, elemental long-lived bands in rock history (i.e. AC/DC and the Ramones), Motörhead stands out for how completely uncompromising they were. Everything they did was calculated to kick ass, in the only way they knew how, and they didn't appear to give a fuck whether you liked it or not.
All hail Motörhead.
