bored on a friday and missing the 90's

Post by Ruiner »

specifically bands that were in the movie Singles.

I wish I saw Alice In Chains when i was young.

Without that movie we wouldn't have one of PJ's best songs. Glad i did get to see them in '94. One of the best shows i've ever been too. Seen them a few times after but nothing like young PJ.

my first concert ever was Soundgarden  well... if you don't count that time my dad took me an my friend to see MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice and En Vogue :D

Man... i miss the 90's.

The early 90s to mid 90s was TRULY a magical time for music, and thats just a fact. I know part of it is the "romance" of it and being younger, etc and i get that to a degree. The music was just really quality stuff, even the pop music was listenable, you could go from HUM to Pantera and not miss a beat

I could post tons of great videos from that ERA and they would sound just as good today as they did 20 years ago.

I'm going to see Fishbone down the street on August 13. I saw them in 1991 at the height of their power and that show still ranks as high as any I have seen. They were absolutely amazing. I've never seen a band truly wear out a crowd. They basically punished us with insane funk for two hours. It was frenetic and frantic. Their energy never wavered for even a half of a second. Start to finish one the most intense live sets I have ever seen.

If you know about the flying trombone and the dildo mic, then fucking LOL.

Oh, & not being a hair band, AIC's hair flew most admirably IMO.
