Best way to send/receive music files
What's the best way, or place, to send and receive music files/ tracks with the least degradation? For instance If I want to send a song that is complete, but needs vocals to a singer, should I turn it into an mp3, then send it to them through Soundcloud to download, then they do the same thing and send it back to me? Or is their an easier, better way? My excuse for not knowing is.... I'm old
Thanks!

Yeah, I fuk'n said that!

Use drop box and the WAV or AIFF format 48khz 16/32 bit for no loss perfection.

I use Google Drive to share music, just sign up and create and share a folder with whoever you want

That's Box, not Dropbox.
It's more for hosting files to listen to/stream, not transfer.

Hey no worries man. So you would want to use Dropbox when sharing wav files and such between members of whatever projects you're working on. You get s lot of free space to share files between people who you link it to. You create a folder like "projects" and you and your band buddies or musical counterpart hommies can drop files in there that you all can access.
Stuff like box and soundcloud is more like what you would use when you want to share clips and finished cuts with audiences, like GAB and momz

Re: Best way to send/receive music files
I've set up a share on Google Drive, and place song files there for my band members to access. Works really great. I've even stored source project files from Reaper there, so others can pull down the data and mix their own version.
I hate Dropbox, because of the way they ding everyone's account for the same shared content. Google doesn't do that - it only counts against the account where the actual file resides. Music files are huge, and can add up fast.

Re: Best way to send/receive music files
Dropbox is normally what I use. If only PNG or FLAV were the norm through most websites. Not even Amazon provides wav
