oh yeah one question.. I haven't got any monitors yet so I was using the headphones and there was alot of reverb through the cans but the recording is just regular signal. Any idea about that? Any way I can control it?
By reverb, do you mean you're hearing 2 signals? 1 normal and the other slightly delayed? You may be monitoring in the wrong place on the chain. What do you have your phones plutted into? The computer (likely wrong) or the Steinberg?
Phones are in the Steinberg. It sounds like an actual reverb effect.
Note: I'm only getting sound in the left ear but I know what the problem there is. Stereo phones with a stereo 1/8" Jack is plugging into a mono adapter to get up to 1/4" to fit the Steinberg Jack so the right channel isn't being conducted.
You can turn that off in the MixDSPfx controller. The idea is to be able to provide the sound that a singer or guitarist would hear if you were to put that on the track. It is a way to have zero latency monitoring but with effects, since the effect is in the box. Look at the track you are recording through, there should be an "e". You can choose whether you want to use it just as a monitor or to send it the track. If you don't want either, just deselect the "e". I think that is how it works, the manual explains it well.
