Clicking noise in amp!
https://youtu.be/pn0GXbrm8vM
Here is a video that shows and explains my problem, please watch. I had my power company to come out and check the power coming in my house, they said it was fine. Im a noob here and I tried to locate a similar thread but was unsuccessful so please forgive me if I overlooked one. This noise is about to drive me crazy, any help will be greatly appreciated! If you can't click on the link, just copy and paste it in your search engine and it should take you to my video. Thanks in advance!

No sir, nothing is on the amp. No new rf signals close by. I have not changed anything around the amp.

see that click is rhythmic and makes me think it's not extraneous.

good luck man, I can hear the growing despair in your video

Thank you for watching and yes, I am so heartbroken. I have only been playing the guitar for about a year and I absolutely love it! This noise is making not want to practice as much. Thanks again!

Well, while you're here you might as well begin entertaining the idea of a new amp. Whether or not it's what will fix the problem I'm pretty certain you would enjoy a new amp regardless.

Re: Clicking noise in amp!
Oh, I would love to have a new Marshall or Orange Amp but I'm afraid I would still have the click. I have another small amp that does the same thing. Thats how I ruled out a problem with the amp. Im open for donations if you have an old Marshall or something that you would like to contribute to me though?
Re: Clicking noise in amp!
I would buy a power conditioner and see if that resolves it. My house was built in the twenties and my amps were so noisy because of it. Once I got my power conditioner it made a huge difference.

Oh man. That sucks. I'd be on the verge of hurting things.

If I ever find the problem I will definitely hurt/kill it. I have done all I know to do to track the culprit down.

My house was built in 1984 and have never had any problems but I will look in to one of those. Thanks for the reply!

Re: Clicking noise in amp!
Take the amp over to a friend's house to see if it still makes the noise. Good luck!!!

@Shane159 I looked at several different power conditioners and ended up buying a Furman M-8Dx. If it fixes my problem, I will definitely owe ya a cold beer. As soon as it comes in, I will post an update. If anyone else has any ideas, please advise! Thanks!

Thank you for your reply. The noise is coming from inside my house or surrounding air space.

Re: Clicking noise in amp!
Did you disconnect the speaker and see if the ticking went away? Did you move the amp into another room or even outside and see if the ticking follows? I think maybe your room acoustics are causing the tick to sound like it is not coming from the amp. Take it to a friends house and try?

Im not trying to be a smartass or anything but did you watch the video? I have tested TWO separate amplifiers throughout the house and on different circuits. The problem is with either with dirty or interrupted electricity and/or an unknown radio frequency. I'm not sure what disconnecting the speaker would prove or what the rooms acoustics have to do with it? The noise is coming through the speaker so obviously if I unhook it, it will stop. Maybe I am misunderstanding your post. If I am, then I apologize in advance. And as a disclaimer, when I said the problem is "either", I mean that is the only two explanations that I have.

Im not sure of a better way to explain the problem other than to show a video of the problem in action.

Re: Clicking noise in amp!
Can you find a schematic for your amp, preferably with power supply voltages on it?
I'd check that first, to make sure all sections of the amp are getting clean power from the amps power supply. Looks like that amp has lots of digital stuff. Digital stuff goes wild when it doesn't get good clean power. Probably not the house wiring. Also, check and make sure your power cord is good (especially the ground wire).

I love Jeeps, Krav Maga, Thai Boxing and obviously Guitars.

Also as an update, the ground on the outlet circuits are good. Should have my conditioner tomorrow and I pray that it helps!

I guess this threw me off "Thank you for your reply. The noise is coming from inside my house or surrounding air space."
Too me that sounds like you meant it is NOT coming from the speaker. Sorry for the confusion.
