I am an admitted Van Hagar fan and I like the Gary Cherone album too.
Playing the DLR era right now, am only familiar with the hits of his time, and I must say they are rockin'. Those three, EVH, Alex and Michael Anthony, are a tight unit.
Which ones are your favorite? Let the flamefest begin!!!
I like most all DLR era VH. A few Sammy songs. Couldnt dig Gary era.
Toan wise = Fair Warning.

My main plexi could do a pretty decent "Fair Waning" sound when I still had all the gain mods & EL 34's in it.

Fair warning & Women & Children First. Cool stuff. I'm jealous - would love to be able to experience something so great as listening to an old Van Halen album for the first time.

Is it wrong that I enjoyed the DLR albums more than The Rolling Stones?

Definitely not. The Rolling Stones have their place in music history but not in my CD player.

This... +10... Respect the Keif, but Mick just makes me wanna
Enjoy the VH, dude. Put yourself back in the late 70's / early 80's, when this stuff was totally new to the world. Eddie brought a whole new vibe to the guitar scene that truly took the music world by the balls.
When you want some Cougar Butthole.. Throw in some VH. Cougars love VH
