I wasn't even aware of this forum until I google searched my company name and found a thread about my guitars! Glad I did though, as I use to be very active on guitar/amp forums a few years ago and I miss it. I lost touch after I finished school, entered the real world, bought a house, etc. LIFE.
Anyway, I'm excited to be here and hopefully will find the time to be a regular poster. I do tend to lurk though.
I used to be in Philly and the surrounding areas until 2009. Now in AZ, I miss the green trees, Phillies games, Jersey Beaches, seafood, and cheesesteaks.

Nice, thanks! Where in AZ? I lived in Los Angeles for five years and had to move back to PA. I missed those things entirely too much and also wanted to actually see the seasons change.

Thanks man! That's awesome. If you ever make it to Philly again, let me know. It is only a 45 minute drive for me.

Not from Philly, but I've been there a few times. So, obligatory question: Geno's or Pats, or some hole in the wall us touristas have never heard of?
to answer like a snob, i was standing watch on the pier when the uss wsc was in town. we stand 24 hour duty and have to stay on board that day, as security/emergency response etc. they had stationed a k9 officer to stand watch with us, and he offered to take us out for steaks after. we had to clear it with our duty section leader, but of course he said it was cool as long as we brought home some.
fucking lights and sirens down to east philly. some stand on the side of the road. more permanent than a food truck, but not by much. bast.

That's south philly (all the Italians), west philly is where the Fresh Prince is from, UPenn and Drexel. North Philly is LaSalle and worse. North East Philly are the suburbs the city annexed, and is now full of Russians and other Eastern Bloc peoples. Penns Landing and everything in that side of I-95 would technically be east Philly, but it's not called that. You are right - Camden could also be considered east Philly.
