Fucking fuck it's about time. My frantic speaker search is about to end.
Tomorrow I'm gonna take my VH100R and run it through my Randall XXL cab with K100's and compare to my 2x12 with BL-80's. I've been waiting for a drummer friend of mine to have a free evening so we can jam and I can do this. I was supposed to jam with this guy last Wednesday but on Sunday night of last week I got this text. It went something like this:
"Hey sorry dude I totally gotta cancel the jam. My lady and I are celebrating Valentines a day early. DUDE! She's booked an all you can eat and all you can drink buffet at the strip club!!! She's gonna buy me a lapdance !!!!"

I'm looking forward to this. The only other time I've gotten to open this Laney up was when I hung out at Billy's one evening which was when we traded the V30's in my cab for the K85's he had. I haven't been able to enjoy the K85's at home. They are a bit harsh IMO at bedroom volumes, but I'm willing to deal with it if they perform better than the BL-80's (which are currently my favorite speaker) at louder volumes. I do have a sneaking suspicion however that What I'll soon be doing it loading my 4x12 with BL-80's.
