XYZ

Post by RustyMetal »

This is the strongest sauce I've heard in a long time. Or has it already been around and I was asleep at the wheel?

I admit I ducked off in a work frenzy on the shop & site and got quite a bit done. Quite a bit more to do, but I ran across the latest XYZ - Hungry album, and it is not weak like their previous ones that I've heard.

Not sure if this is a troll thread..

I vaguely know that song, I DO LIKE the semi buzz-sawish guitar tones on the song and its got the late 80s sound in spades. Nothing wrong with rocking out to some 80s hard rock even stuff like this
^ Good deals with Glizard (ADA), electricdreams (Vetta) Fat Lou (Splawn) Tubesteakfortone (Marshall 3203, Riot pedal) agreed (Hafler-Radial) twisty571 (Mosvalve 962) Orbis Mortis (egnater) ~Abstract~ (JC amp) jn062181 (AXE - FX) ^

This album came out decades ago. Like '91 or '92. My brother had it tattooed on him, that wolf and girl I mean. God bless him, he also had a Bill the Cat and Taz tattoo! My brother was a fucking hoot. He got them in Okinawa and the Philippines when he was in the Navy.

the tone in H.H. Boogie is basically the tone I was after for a long time.

Hungry is a significantly better album than the debut

You're right. I had never heard of them before when I ran across the YT vids 3 or 4 weeks ago. They must've posted or reposted the vids in 2010/12/14 and I was misled by the dates. Oh well. I still dig 'em.

Mac: I agree. The songs I heard from the self-titled album were really weak sauce. (For my taste anyway.)

Interesting, my brother was also an XYZ fanboi. I remember him having a couple of their cassettes back around 1991.

God bless your bro!

I was a huge XYZ fanboy back in the day. Used to cruise around in my red Z28 listening to their self titled. :freak:
