I wonder if there sales dropped really bad and they're taking time to reevaluate the company or coming up with a game plan or something..

I've heard some lukewarm things about Hiwatt in recent years. I've always wanted one, but unless it were a vintage Hiwatt, I'd probably buy a Reeves instead.

I may be wrong here but I believe Hiwatt were owned by the people who ran music ground and they were some shady bastards:
