So, my wife and I are trying to watch a lot of great movies (top 100 lists. IMDB, AFI, Rotten Tomatoes,etc). We're on a mission. After being mega-disappointed in Citizen Kane, we watched Vertigo.
Right away, I was mesmerized by the score. FUCKING SICK. Turns out, it's the guy who did the music for:
Citizen Kane (go figure)
Psycho
Taxi Driver
etc.
FUCK. This is unreal to me. It's like the dawn of post-rock. Most classical music doesn't grab me this way.
