King Richard the III found under a parking lot

Look at the grease spot around his skeleton. Looks like he had high cholesterol

The description of how he died was really brutal. Basically had his face sliced, and stabbed repeatedly in the head. I can't imagine that hour before you fight 100's of trained men with swords. Given the choice, I'd skip it and watch a movie or something.

yeah in all those movies they show these epic sword armies fighting, but ive always wondered what being killed with a presumably dull sword would be like and wished they would depict it in one of them. i imagine there was a lot of brutal hacking and stabbing, not just a run by and a guy in chainmail holding his tummy and going "ARGH!!!"

I think typically they used the big sword to create an opening with which they could stab with a dagger- less unwieldy at close range. Not that I actually have a clue lol, I got most of it from highlander.

pretty random though....the university responsible for the advent of DNA matching gets one month to dig in the only part of the city they really could dig, which happened to coincide with a prediction from old ass maps, and DNA match king richard III.

im not saying it was aliens, but...

Take any English city, and dig anywhere. You're gonna find something. That's just a result of such a lengthy history, and such a large population living in such a small area. Now as far as finding the long lost body of a 15th century king, I'm sure blind luck had a lot to do with it. Supposedly, Henry VII had Richard IIIs body secretly buried under a cathedral or monastery or something. I assume this parking lot is located in the spot where that cathedral or whatever used to be.

This is pretty interesting. Richard III stole the throne from his nephew Edward V. Edward was young (12) and had a younger brother. Richard kidnapped them, kept them in the Tower of London (they're known as the Princes In The Tower). People saw less and less of the boys until they ultimately disappeared. Its been speculated that Richard sent someone up the tower had the boys smothered to death.

I'd be inclined to think that Henry VII, and the Tudor line did all they could to make Richard III out to be a bad guy, so who knows how much truth there is in this. There was always fighting among those with royal bloodlines over who was the rightful heir to the throne. Richard III's father, Richard Duke of York was the Great Grandson of Edward III and was to become King upon the death of Henry VI. However, he died before this ever came to pass. Richard III actually did have a legitimate claim to the throne.
