Sexy. I'm wondering, looking at that finished fretboard, won't the strings grind away at the finish a bit? I've never played a fretless, so maybe it's a techinque thing and you're not supposed to press down much?

Yeah, will be the first time I have tried a fretless. The reviews say its smooth and easy to play.

phenolic fingerboard right ? They make excellent fretless boards , though many fretless players do epoxy the board , Thank Jaco for that too .

My old Peavey Impact 1 had a phenolic fretboard - LOVED it!

I have a new bass on the way too - I will try to participate in your new drumjam when it comes in! :D
