So I had some materials left over from the rack cabinet build and decided to make a 1x12 cab.
Simple butt joints with 1/2" roundover.
Speaker is rear loaded but will have a removable grille.
Tolex is same as Mesa cab
The back is convertable, but it sounds better sealed. I will probably make a one piece back for it next time I have some extra plywood. It's a litttle weird with those 3 vertical panels.
The cab is loaded with a Celestion G12T-75 borrowed from my Lopo 2x12. I like the way it sounds so I will probably buy a WGS HM75 to go in it. Although the cab turned out great, there are things I can improve on. Going forward, I think I can build even better cabs.
Items left to do are the grill/piping and find some black screws for the handle.

It looks like you did not install the handle the way one normally would - so that it is able to lay flat like in the Avatar photo above. The anchor points are too close together. You may be able to fix that without the holes being visible. Or did you want it that way?
im trying to get down on this soon as well. any construction tips?
i may be getting overzealous for a first time build, but im doing a modified Orange design. here is my drawing so far: (the cutout dimension has been updated, was a typo.)

You're right. I was able to fix it though.

You have to match your roundover to the radius of the corner hardware. 1/2" is most common.

Not yet. I ordered the grillcloth, piping, and rubber feet today. I also ordered one of those nice jack plates for the back with two jacks. Next time I have some extra plywood, I will make a solid panel for it and use that jack plate.

ive wanted to do this with a 4x12. Basically an Orange style 4x12, but 4, to 6 inches taller
