hm. do tell?

The GH does have a little bit of hiss but it's really not that bad at all. The VH100R is beautiful... it's pretty fucking quiet for the amount of gain it gives.

yeah I've never had an issue with the GH noise either.

Not sure if it has to do with the toroidal power transformers Laney uses?

I have a couple DSL 100s and a 2203X... they've kept me totally happy for years!

Even my MG100HDFX sounds damn decent through my 1960AV cab.

I play rock ... country... and r&b... Marshalls work well for all that stuff.

I'm in unless I'm banned for my polyamorous love affair with Mesas and Peaveys also.

Marshall's are boring... Not bad, just kinda blah, who cares, plain, ordinary, safe, monotonous, redundant... etc...etc... If i see a stage with Marshall's on it...who gives a fuck??

Absolutely SLAYS since I followed Billy's advice and clipped that bright cap.
I LOVE the Bad Monkey in front as a boost it... Absolutely BLISTERING sound!

Oddly enough, I ended up reversing mine to stock. :lash: I just like the extra highs and at the volume I usually play with the band (master at 1-2 o'clock  ) there is more than enough thickness.

You need to get another Cyclone. That live clip you posted of that amp sounded huge! Why'd you get rid of it?

So much mojo and sonic mass.

Edit: Just noticed the little Orange. Is that your lunchbox? Looks like a little peanut up there.

That's "The midget". Orange Micro Terror. The wife got that for me for Xmas. Sounds killer into a cab, but I like to use it like a pedal. (plug into it, then jumper out of the HP jack, into an EQ, then into the front of a big amp.

Even on its own, its got a cool toan to it (old school kinda stuff). It may be small, but it's thumpy & has that nice "murky" orange sound to it.

I'll bet it sounds good. Just looks hysterically small sitting up there.

I hope to own a Orange someday. I have no need or money to at the moment.

It looks realy funny sitting alone on top of either of my over sized cabs lol.

My broe has a couple of vintage Oranges I get to use occasionally. 72-ish GRO 50, and an early / mid 70's OR120.

Way cool, but BRUTALLY loud. I had an AD30TC head for a while. I wish I'd hung on to it.
