Or are we the baseline by which all other lesser contenders are measured? :cop: :D

I would join the group. Both my amps are Marshalls at the moment (DSL100 and AVT50) :)

Well, Marshalls are a sign of maturity, masculinty and self confidence in ones self. So, I see no reason to create a collective to bolster ones self esteem. When we already have it in spades individually.

No way, the 8100 is awesome.

it can actually be pretty loud with a 4ohms cab like the 1960. What cab are you using with it?

yeah you're running the amp at 1/2 power with the 8ohm cab. It's ok, especially for home playing, but try it with a 1960 at 4ohms if you ever get a chance. It makes a huge difference. Bet it will be one of those "holy shit" moments.

No, don't need one.

We play them like beasts and patiently watch while others come to their senses. Other brands are cute and all.

yup.

I dont understand that. If you look for them, there are a hand full of bad ass Marshalls that can be had for well under $3K. Ive seen NICE 70's JMP's go from $800-$2K .

If a man kind find a good Marshall for $1200..he's not looking in the right places.

Yeah. Granted some people price Marshalls WAY high.

I've had a hard on for a JCM 800 1950 (NMV ) for ages. There was a dude who had one on flea bay for 2 or 3 years who wanted something like $2500, or something astronomical for it. Never sold.

I'd LOVE a Canadian model Marshall JCM 800 1959. Those are gettin few & far between. Nothin special about em. I just like the different look of em (toggle switches instead of plastic rocker switches). I like odd ball stuff.

Would love a "transitional" 75 -76 JMP too. A mix of early 70's Metal face cosmetics, mixed with late 70's JMP. Dan knows the ones Im talking about.

There's nothing that sounds like a Marshall running at full roar!

I've got a DSL 100 with 1960A/1960BV cabs.
Just got the DSL1C. Cool little grab and go amp.

Definately want a JCM 800...

and a Jubilee combo would be sweet!

Solarburn! So glad you made it over here -- welcome, and excellent point! :D

Also, everything else that has been said in this thread is true.

It is amazing how a single purchase turned me instantly into a complete fanboi...
