I'm not. Even with all that mumbo jumbo, they still have to prove that it's safe. They claim our current vaccines are safe, but they still crack a few eggs for the greater good.
But why worry about a vaccine when we have therapeutics that are effective and cheap? It's already shown that the combo of hydroxychloroquine, zinc, and the Z-Pack works really well. Then there's the use of Budesonide that's been helping people. Not to mention the Heal Light that was introduced to help those who are in really bad shape to blast the Rona out of the lungs.
I think like with this mask hysteria, that the next control mechanism is the vaccine argument.

um.
probably because we have zero hard data on long term damage from the virus and coincident problems caused by it at this point- like clotting leading to strokes kidney and liver damage, neurological problems. not even to mention lung damage.
granted, nobody wants a hastily prepared vaccine that doesnt work or damages people.
but jesus fucking christ, if being asked to wear homemade cotton masks are a 'control mechanism'.. you may want to check yourself on the notion of society and the things it provides you, and think about what you do to pay back for those benefits, and extrapolate how hard it is to pitch back in with two layers of fabric on your face which works basically everywhere else on the planet.

What will happen:
Share your experience with the rona, did you get tested, had it, know someone who did.
What won't happen:
Politics, Vax/anti-vaxx, conspiracy theories, mask is social control and anything not listed on "what will happen".

God man, that's awful. Hope he recovers soon. I'll keep him in my thoughts.

My son is better now they have him the antibody things and he is breathing again on his own. They just released him to quarantine at home!

If anyone could beat the virus, I would think it would be a healthy guy in his early 20s. My best to your son and all of your family.

Glad your kid is on the mend Trey. Hopefully the antibody therapy helps. Is he planning on donating plasma after his recovery?

I’m interested. The only things causing me to hesitate are the timing and most likely the supplies. By timing I mean it has been fast tracked. I’d like to see how it does outside of the controlled studies in the live environment for a bit. I realize that phase 3 trials are a much broader sample size and varying demographics of people. I’d just like to see how it does in actual practice for a month or two. Which brings me to my next reason, supplies may be limited for the initial launch so I may be waiting anyway. Which is fine. I can continue to mask up, distance, all that good stuff.

Makes perfect sense to me. The earlier response, and I could be making a wrong assumption, had an anti-VAX feel to it. I don't get that point of view - assuming the "safe & effective" disclaimer...

Rona is destroying live music all together , Elton John has released his band members some of whom have been with him 50 years , Billy Joel has his members on retainer for the rest of the year then bye bye . I can only imagine the same is true for most pro acts . What does that mean for the regular guy . We are screwed , I personally don't know when if ever I will play with other musicians . It won't be soon . That just leaves drum jams and home projects .

At my job we’ve had 4 cases. One of them was pretty bad and the guy has been in the hospital for now his third week, older gentleman.
Fortunately those who have gotten it do not appear to have contracted it at work, or transmitted it at work. We have protocols and everyone has been really good about following them. We have the advantage of a large facility with workstations spaced out more than 6 feet apart, a lot of open air ventilation, and some of our crew works outside in the sunlight.
I don’t know if it’s been mentioned or discussed here (I probably already have said it previously) but a major multinational study of all severe and fatal cases reveals a 80+% correlation to vitamin D3 deficiency.
They haven’t broadcasted this information in the media the way I think they should have. In general they could do a better job about broadcasting basic health and wellness tips for strong immune response.
I’ve been taking D3 supplements and you should too.

Yeah, it pisses me right the fuck off that a lot of people haven't heard this. I'm not going to off on that point, but it's a damned point alright.

I know fish is naturally high in vitamin D, and cow/almond/soy milk are fortified with vitamin D.
Tuna milkshakes for dessert in the Fingers' house tonight.
