Absolutely SLAYS since I followed Billy's advice and clipped that bright cap.
I LOVE the Bad Monkey in front as a boost it... Absolutely BLISTERING sound!

Right on. The Plexi reissue I got from Dave already had its bright cap clipped on Dave's watch, and I can't imagine the amp any other way. Plus, w/the Marshall, I've rediscovered my Bad Monkey, too -- an awesone pairing... tge voicing of each really complements the other...

Dave wrote:Draelyc - can write a solid song, and play tasty leads despite his internal neurotic tendencies. Despite a million debates raging in his head over string guage, pickup height, Pete Townshend's sexual history, and pick material he makes his Shiva give up the goods. Plus his unplugged electric tone... well... it exists.

I own a 78' JMP but also own a few over priced Marshall inspired amps.

I'm an amp free agent.

A posse of Marshall amp owners = White History Month.

We should have "Marshall Owner" as our titles under our screen names..in a different color than other titles.

Absolutely. Preferably in the Marshall font. To imply that we are indeed better than everyone else.

Cant wait to mix it with some Marshall yumminess as well.

And perhaps break the soldering iron out & tweak the Laney with some Marshall mods

Wish I had some extra cash. Theres a 1960 a close to me ,that looks like its in perfect cosmetic shape..loaded, but has a "wiring problem" that dude only wants $250 for.

I'd buy it, sell the speakers & cab separate & make a little $$ off of it, or fix it & sell it for $350.

Marshall user would be better. "owner" makes me think of the poser yuppie biker wannabes who sport the HOG owner patches on their vests.

One of my 3 Marshall cabs, i bought for $100. Had a hole in the rear baffle. Just replaced it with some Plywood (which sounds not nearly as good as the chipboard they typically use).

Oddly enough, I ended up reversing mine to stock. :lash: I just like the extra highs and at the volume I usually play with the band (master at 1-2 o'clock  ) there is more than enough thickness.
