A friend used to have a early '90s GTI with a five speed and inline six cylinder. That car was hella fun to drive.

2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I need to get off my ass and go buy a new one - it will be the third in a row (my G/F has one, too). They've been great vehicles...

I don't think VW ever had a straight 6 in their consumer cars. They had a little V6

Yeah it was probably a VR6. Shallow angle V6 the V is only 10-15 deg depending on the model, its more like a staggered straight 6 than a V. Super cool engines, I really want a Mk4 R32 with a VR6 at some point

I used to want an R32 really bad, but these days the only VAG product I am looking at is a higher mileage Gallardo.

2006 Peugeot 307 SW 1.6HDI. Come at me bros. 230.000KM on the dial, still runs less than 4L/100KM (60MPG). We call it "the falcon" 'cause it's like the millennium falcon - a piece of shit but she holds together and can do the kessel run in under 12 parsecs.
Oh, and I paid about 2500EUR for it two years ago.

I have had a Crosstrek since 2013. This is my third one as I got into a bad accident in December 2019. I'm driving a loaded 2019 Limited now. I love these cars, just wish they would put more power into them.

^ They're great cars! Supposedly very safe too, how did you fare in the accident? Sorry to hear about that, but hope you're good my friend!

Regarding the power, check out the Sport model next time. It's got the Boxster motor that they use in the WRX (rally cars) and the BRZ (Supra looking thing). Crosstrek Sport is by no means a race car, but it has way more balls than my last two base model Crosstreks.

My wife just upsized from an Impreza to a Forester.
Subarus make fucking quality cars. Everything is solid on both cars and I don't have a single critique quality or design wise to be honest.
To me if a one of the greatest testaments to design and quality of a car is if the owner's only real consideration for a new car is a just a newer version of what they already had.

Accident sucked. Got pushed into a tree at 60MPH by a lady going too fast in a snow storm. I walked out of that Subaru like nothing happened. Not a scratch, but I had a tree halfway up my engine block. It's why I keep getting Subaru's.

The Sport is intriguing for sure, but I really wanted a loaded with every possible option model this time in terms of interior and exterior shit. The sport was not an option. I'm literally waiting for a WRX and STI to come in a hatchback again. I'd buy one in a second.

My friend just got back to me regarding his old GTI engine.

"Shit just saw this. It's a VR6. It's sort of in between. The cylinders are inline but there's a narrow 15 degree angle that's used to stagger them to make the motor length shorter. Whatever the German word for the VR abbreviation means "in a line". So I'd call it an in-line based on that."

1975 Chrysler Cordoba. Just got this one back from the shop as I shit-fucked the rear internals while doing a burnout. The rear is an 8 3/4 from a 70 Roadrunner and now features a Powertrax Grip Pro and 3:55 gears. Under the hood is a 400 big block with an Isky Mega cam, Holley Street Dominator Intake and Holley 650 Double Pumper carb. Hooker headers with cutouts for the drag strip.

1979 Chrysler Cordoba. I haven't got this one out of storage yet, so eatzza old pic. I didn't change much under the hood, just removed the Lean Burn emissions system and replaced the distributor and added Hooker headers. Out back is a Spicer Traction Lock with 3:23 gears.

See ya tomorrow, suckers.

My parents had a 1979 Fairmont wagon in the mid-80s with a 6. They bought it for us kids to learn to drive so we wouldn't fuck up the good vehicles. One morning I was taking it to work and the engine blew for some reason. Put a 302 in it, then it rusted out in record time to the point it wasn't safe to drive.
