I really just wanted my Martin to be more accessible because I don't like leaving it on a rack. Further, I don't trust those wimpy little guitar hangers sold at GC/Amazon since they don't even bolt in to the studs. So I stained and finished a spare 2x4 I had in my garage, got some 4" lag bolts, and made my own setup. It's not fancy like the bros that know wood working, but it's functional and not ugly.
It helps that my upstairs has it's own independent HVAC unit that also controls humidity. So it's a constant 72* with 45-55% humidity. Otherwise I'd be real hesitant about leaving the Martin out of it's climate controlled case.
Music room is kind of a mess today, but here it is. Not much of a studio, but I am working on building a better silent / recording setup that doesn't sound like ass.
A friend of mine made this painting, knowing I love Teles and tweeds, so cool. I love it.
More art...
Guitar wall and workstation, this is where I work, smoke, and scroll thru GGF threads...

Damn Greg, that is a glorious room! I love the way you have the guitars mounted too! I also love those specific guitars and that Mark IV
I just make my kids create art for me because I'm a cheap bastard Your artwork really ties the room together, and your reverb unit reminds me I need to put mine back together so my '63 bandmaster rig will be complete.

But le sigh
Thanks Dave, I love your space too! Feels so good to have an inspiring and convenient setup!
That Bandmaster-reverb stack looks glorious dude - what's wrong with the reverb unit, other than being in pieces?

at first I was like.... damn... nice spot for those JBLs, ear level, no walls to reflect the rear ports in the back..... then I realised they are on a wall with your stairs below..... you're not worried to fall off??

I got the whole rig in pretty poor cosmetic shape. The tolex was painted gold and the grill painted silver with some type of heavy spray paint a long time ago. Then it sat in a barn for decades. I picked it up for a very reasonable price, basically what the head would normally sell for, with the intention of just playing it as-is. On a whim I tried to remove the paint and found out it had actually quasi protected the tolex over the years. The head has been gone through by a tech and works well, but the reverb unit hasn't been touched. I need to get it in to a tech to resolder a couple connections, replace the caps, and update to a 3 prong cord.
Here's some pics from how I originally got it and some progress pics:
I think natural light (like actual sunlight, not the shitty beer) is key for inspiration!
Dave, looks like you've used a ton of elbow grease so far, really nice work cleaning those up. Gold Krylon on the tolex... Must have been one hell of a lounge act.

That room is high energy af!
Love the artwork man
I actually got the artwork at Bed, Bath and Beyond about 10 years ago lol, pretty sure I saw prints like it on Amazon still lol.... There was a Les Paul "painting" where the bass is currently, still have it in storage.... The painting behind the top screen is an original water colour a friend did of John Lennon..... I'm probably going to be be rearranging the room in the next couple months, not quite sure how as yet but need to also turn it in to a functional home office, so gonna need to make space for a large format printer and a filling cabinet..
I love how our monitors and Captors are inverse of each other
I almost bought the white ones but then I thought they would be a pain in the ass to keep clean lol

I really like the pro MPA for adding color to drums. It has a pre and post gain so you can crank the front end and get it clipping and then back off the post gain so it doesn't clip the interface.
The GAs are great too! I can make some clips if you want. What do you want to hear?

Can you do a crunch Marshall clip with the 73 and direct into the interface?
